Jacob J. (JJ) Hutman, CPA

In 2005 JJ graduated with honors from the prestigious Carlson School of Management- University of Minnesota. He has many years of experience in the preparation of financial statements and audits, including complex governmental audits, having trained under some of the masters in the field. After working for a firm in Minneapolis for 3 years, he moved east and worked for a top 100 firm in the Northeast before being grabbed by a smaller local firm. He finally took the plunge to start his own practice.
JJ is the designer of the original and highly acclaimed H & H personalized monthly highlight sheets, an indispensable tool for any business owner to know where his or her money is going. Call him now for help with this or any other accounting or tax planning issues throughout the year.

JJ enjoys the great outdoors, especially in the fall when the air is crisp and the leaves are changing. He lives in Lakewood with his wife and 9 children. In his spare time- spare time!? With 9 kids, grandchildren and office workload, who has spare time?

David (Ari) Hutman, CPA

In public accounting practice since 2003, David (Ari) is an expert in all aspects of not-for-profit accounting. He can help you navigate the myriad laws and regulations imposed by the IRS on non-profits and advise your organization of its responsibilities to the public and the IRS in order to maintain its tax-exempt status and stay compliant. Whether you are starting a new not-for-profit entity or want to “clean up” your established organization going forward, he can help. He also is a frequent speaker at non-profit seminars in NY and NJ.

Before making the move to non-profits, David (Ari) was senior tax manager at a large local accounting firm for 9 years where he prepared and reviewed literally thousands of tax returns, running the gamut from individual to corporate,

A native of Montreal, Canada, he is able to spend his time keeping current on tax law, as he no longer has a major league baseball team to cheer for. Ari enjoys anything having to do with aviation, and is still trying to get a major US air carrier as a client so he can combine business with pleasure.

Steven Tuchman, CPA

Steven is a summa cum laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson.

Joining our firm straight out of school, he has advanced to senior tax manager where he handles all complex real estate transactions, including 1031 exchanges, partner buy out and buy-in, and is an expert in the new tax laws as they relate to real estate. He also works closely with the junior staff on government program-specific audits.

Steven joined Hutman and Hutman LLP as a staff accountant in January 2013 and quickly rose through the ranks.

His responsibilities currently include preparation of individual and corporate returns, financial statement audits, and Governmental (Program-Specific) audits.Steven hails from Baltimore and currently lives in Lakewood with his wife and children.

Naomi Lebhar, CPA

Naomi received her BS in accounting from Touro College, New York in June 2009 and obtained her CPA License in August 2014. She previously lived in Israel where she worked at a form specializing in expert accounting, where she performed a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax functions there. She dealt extensively with international accounting issues, especially for US citizens living abroad.

Naomi joined our team in May 2014. Her responsibilities at Hutman & Hutman include tax return preparation for individuals, entities, and not-for-profit organizations. She is also an absolute wizz at Quickbooks and helping new clients with on-boarding.

Rachel Hefter

Rachel is the firm project manager and client service coordinator, who handles all client- accountant interaction and scheduling. She is also in charge of all e-filing of returns and extensions, ensuring that hundreds of returns are filed smoothly and seamlessly, without losing her composure even during hectic tax time.

She is a native of Lakewood, where she lives with her husband and children.

Aliza Zimmet

Aliza joined Hutman & Hutman coming in as a tax manager from a mid-sized regional CPA firm. She has since taken on responsibility for small business filing, individual returns, and payroll. She is cool-headed even when things get hectic around the office during crunch time. She resides in Lakewood with her family.

Chavi Friedman

Chavi is receptionist/office manager. She is the face and voice of Hutman & Hutman as she is the first voice you hear when calling and the first person you meet when coming into the office for an appointment. We are glad to have her as part of our friendly and capable team.

Leah fogel

Leah is an Accountant with 9 years of experience. She is a team player and handles every client account well. A few of her roles include auditing financial statements, tax returns, investments, and other relevant financial reports. One of our client’s all time favorites to deal with!

Bella Fishman

Bella currently attends Excelsior College to get her accounting degree. She loves hanging out with friends and reading books. She is excellent at organization and when given a specific goal, she is a super achiever, efficient and effective.

Esti (Birnbaum) Sussman

Esti loves spending time with family and friends, she loves art, music, and everything in-between. She has a true enthusiasm for life and is passionate about everything, especially when it comes to learning new things. She’s been with us for just over a year and is our newest CPA on the team! Esti earned her degree from Excelsior College, with a major in accounting and finance.

Devora Lemberg

Devora goes to Excelsior College. Her hobbies include cooking, hanging out with friends and reading books. Devora is a motivated, team player who goes above and beyond in every, we are lucky to have her with us!

Elisheva Treff

Like most of our staff, Elisheva also attended Excelsior College to get her accounting degree. She plays the piano beautifully and is is a fantastic accountant to go along with it. She has been a valued asset to our team since her arrival. Were lucky to have her. She handles payroll and business filings as well as individual and small business tax returns.
